Faliraki is the famous party capital of the Greek island of Rhodes. Boasting some stunning beaches, countless shops, bars and restaurants, as well as the liveliest nightlife anywhere on the island, this is definitely a destination suited to young people, groups and partygoers. While some parts of town cater for families as well, those travelling with children might prefer to visit one of Rhodes’ smaller towns, such as Pefkos or Firostefani.

Faliraki boasts a superb beach, with fine golden sands stretching for a total distance of 5km. The area has been awarded a total of 12 Blue Flags for cleanliness and facilities, and provides some great spots for sunbathing and swimming. Water sports are also a popular pastime here, with options that include scuba diving, windsurfing, jet skiing and kite-boarding! You’ll have plenty of space for exploring along the coastline during a holiday to Faliraki, but be warned – the south end of the beach has been declared an official naturist beach, complete with its own taverna.

You’ll find some great food on offer as you wander around the town. Of course, there are plenty of places that sell traditional Greek dishes, and you’ll get the opportunity to try many local delicacies during your holiday in Faliraki! In addition to this, the town’s restaurants serve flavours as varied as Chinese, Mexican, British and Italian cuisine. Many of these can be found down at the beach front, which features a large number of restaurants, bars, taverns and souvenir shops.

The modern city of Rhodes is one of the biggest municipalities in the Greek islands, with about sixty thousand permanent residents. It is the financial and cultural centre of the southeastern Aegean, and successfully combines a lively present with a rich historical past. There are many reasons why Rhodes is one of the most popular resorts in the Mediterranean: the natural surroundings (crystal clear seas, many parks and recreational facilities), the bright sun and the warm hospitality of the islanders themselves.
